Methow Valley Community Center Association
For nearly five decades, the Methow Valley Community Center Association (MVCCA) has been the heart of our valley — overseeing a place where community members and visitors of all ages and backgrounds gather throughout the year to connect, learn and find support.
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, we are guided by our mission to honor our past, care for our community and build our future. From daily activities like library visits, music and dance lessons, and youth sports to large-scale community events, such theater performances, farmers markets, and civic meetings, MVCCA serves as a cultural and social anchor.
Our commitment to providing affordable rents to tenants has fostered the growth of nonprofits and local businesses, and in times of crisis, our doors remain open as a vital emergency shelter and gathering place for those in need. The community center is a designated Red Cross shelter and partner to the Okanogan Forest Service — providing refuge during wildfires and sever weather events. Our gymnasium is one of the largest facilities in our rural area.
We are the cornerstone of community life in the Methow Valley. Through our robust programming, we serve an estimated 26,000 - 37,000 community members annually. Approximately 50% of those participants are low-income. We serve our most vulnerable community members daily, including elders, children and low-income parents.
