The Methow Valley Community Center is alive and thriving in the former Twisp School building. Built in 1912, this icon of the Methow Valley has been remodeled and cared for by visionary members of the community since 1978.
Located on Highway 20 in the town of Twisp, Washington, the Methow Valley Community Center Association is at the hub of Methow Valley life and the welcome center for visitors exploring the valley. MVCCA serves the valley with art, library, dance, yoga, Tae Kwon Do, theatre, and music classes.
Year round activities take place at the Community Center. Our tenants include the Twisp Public Library, Okanogan County PUD, Methow Valley Farmers Market, Visitor Information Center, and a variety of specialty businesses. In order to encourage these dynamic and vibrant additions to the community, our tenants pay less for rent than they would for comparable spaces elsewhere.
The Community Center also offers a multi-use gymnasium, with or without kitchen, for roller skating, dances, parties, memorials, and public events. Tables and chairs are also available to rent for your events inside or outside of the MVCC.
Rental proceeds constitute a majority of our budget, followed by memberships and donations.
The Methow Valley Community Center Association celebrated the building’s 100 years of service to our community in 2012 and is actively planning for another century of service.
Our Mission statement:
Honoring Our Past
