The Methow Valley Community Center is launching its annual membership drive this week. Current and past members will receive information in the mail and a form to return. Persons interested in purchasing a membership for the first time, or wish to donate to keep our iconic building alive and well, can join online here.
Membership entitles you to discounts on event rentals and use of the gym during regular hours. Your dollars help maintain the Methow Valley Community Center building, one that is filled with the memories of generations of valley students who went to school here from 1912 to 1973.
Your membership also helps to create affordable rental rates for businesses like the Methow Valley Community School, Cascadia Music and Pipestone Orchestra, Twisp Visitor Information Center, Lorrie Wilson School of Dance, Pasayten Taekwondo, Terry Hunt guitar studio, and the Methow Valley Theater. In addition, membership helps provide for recreational activities like AAU basketball, pickle ball, yoga, TOPS exercise, open gym for youth and adults, roller skating parties, dances, performances, memorials, and celebrations. Our facility is handicap accessible with open gym times for rehabilitation after injury.
Memberships and donations helped make improvements to the building including heating system upgrades, updated sound system, and a newly renovated kitchen. Your support allows the Methow Valley Community Center to thrive as the hub of valley activities and performances.
Located on Highway 20 in the town of Twisp, Washington, the Methow Valley Community Center Association is at the hub of Methow Valley life and the welcome center for visitors exploring the valley. MVCCA is housed in the former Twisp School, built in 1912, this icon of the Methow Valley has been remodeled and cared for by visionary members of the community since 1978. We are honored to be the current caretakers of this iconic building, but it really belongs to you.
The Community Center offers a multi-use gymnasium–with or without kitchen use–for roller skating, dances, parties, memorials and public events. We now have a sound system to provide you with your music during your event. As always, we have tables and chairs to rent off site.
