There is going to be a community Dia de los Muertos celebration on Friday, November 1st at the Community Center in Twisp. Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a Mexican tradition to honor and remember our relationships with our beloved departed. There will be a community open house from 5-8 with a candle lighting ceremony, food, drink, laughter and color.
We are inviting the community to participate by building personal altars, either for one person or many. There will be ongoing traditional craft making happening all day on November 1st and ritual altar building starting at 11. If you are interested in building an altar in the Community Center auditorium for the community open house please register and receive information at tracysprauer@gmail.com.
